As a Brown Head Peer Academic Advisor (PAA) at Rice University, Cecile provides academic counseling to students, helping them navigate course selection, degree planning, and university resources. She has also assisted peers in preparing for professional school applications by reviewing personal statements and resumes, offering feedback that helps applicants showcase their strengths and unique stories. Her experience in both academic advising and workplace mentorship has allowed her to develop a well-rounded approach to guiding others through their personal and professional growth.

Teaching Experience:
Cecile has experience teaching in both formal and informal settings. As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, she trains new pharmacy technicians and educates patients on medication usage, vaccinations, and overall healthcare best practices. In addition to workplace training, she has also helped peers and younger students academically, providing guidance in coursework and exam preparation. Throughout school, she frequently assisted friends and siblings with subjects like science, English, and math, reinforcing key concepts and developing personalized study strategies to enhance understanding. These experiences have strengthened her ability to explain complex topics clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and foster a supportive learning environment.

Interesting Fact:
Cecile was originally left-handed but transitioned to using her right hand due to cultural beliefs. Over time, she embraced this change and now sees it as an advantage, especially in developing her dexterity for dentistry. This adaptability has shaped her approach to learning, reinforcing her belief in lifelong growth and skill development.
